A conundrum . . .

This is a frame from the 1952 Ealing Studios film "I Believe in You". That's Cecil Parker walking toward what is obviously Lots Road, but which street is it? And aren't those prefabs?

Comments:
It's Upcerne Road and I think the camera is positioned on the King's Road. I remember seeing the prefabs as a kid. Apparently one of them was home to Alan Hudson.

Yes, they are pre-fabs, read more here:

Yes, top of Upcerne road. Just a little further along in the picture, on the right at the junction of Meek street was a playground called the "cage" where all the kids played football.

Yup definitely Upcerne Road looking from the corner with Kings Road . Overends the bakers was on the corner next to Fields the newsagents as a boy walked home along there after picking up paper and bread on way home to Tadema Road. Alan lived in prefab just up from the cage.Looking forward to visiting Chelsea next month to see what is still left from the old days.Just for the record I was at school with a guy called Anthony Little who's dad was manager of Macfisheries on the Kings Road which was still around till the late 60's and the other side of the arch was Allans menswear who also had a shop on the corner of Beaufort Street.
